Working with The Farmers Guide Uganda we are training the AVS women groups in sustainable farming and agribusiness. The main aim is to improve these womens livelihoods through training to improve their yields and income and standards of living. More information on our development will be available soon. We have also completed training over 100 women on modern sustainable agriculture and agribusiness which we hope will give our womens groups a better and more successful way of growing and cultivating crops.

With the recruitment of our new UK Trustees we have also been busy building our 2020 Strategic Plan. Why 2020? Any strategic plan needs to be long term and encompass our programmes, timescales and objectives that make up what AVS is all about. This plan will evolve as AVS does, with new initiatives, completed projects, fund raising requirements, changes to the organisation and more. More details will be available soon however if you would like a copy of our plan please click here.

Looking for something different to give someone for Christmas. Something that will prove memorable and long lasting, that will go a long way to supporting one of our families out in Muyembe? Look no further, whether it be a bag of maze, a goat, some pans or a few chickens our families will be eternally grateful and make their Christmas an even brighter one. For more information click here.
Whilst Marie is on her current visit to Muyembe she was able to participate in a meeting for all past and present students. The agenda included; Belonging to AVS, participating run by AVS, supporting AVS once you have left school etc. thus forming an alumni association. He are some photo's of the meeting. We had a great contribution from an ex-student who is qualified as a Clinical Medical Officer who told us of his plans for developing a clinic with other medics and from the income will help support other students.
