AVS Uganda Commitee & Staff

Uganda Executive Committee

The committee was established in December 2006 to monitor the on-going projects and to make recommendations for new developments. Their local knowledge is proving an invaluable asset. Increasingly they exercise a great responsibility in budgetary control and accountability. Their work is voluntary for the benefit of the local community.


  Gudoi Paul - Chairman. Paul is a Headmaster at a local school in Muyembe and joined the Executive Committee in 2016.

AVS (UG) has opened its doors to new members and the next AGM will be held in January 2018.



AVS Uganda Staff


Kituyi Rose - Community Centre Manager and responsible for our vital Women's Projects including the distribution of Mama Bags and the Women's Working Groups. Rose is married with two boys. Likes listening to music and is in a church choir, she joined AVS UG in May 2015.



Malisa Enos - Assistant Manager. Enos has joined AVS early 2016 from Compassion Child and is responsible for our Education and Youth programs. Enos brings lots of enthusiasm and ideas to help with the education and well being of the youths we support in Muyembe.


Grace - Matron of Hostel. Grace is responsible for the care and well being of up to 60 girls. With two children to care for when Grace has spare time likes to do farming and is an active member of her church.


Dan – Staff member at the internet cafe and held a previous role with the Red Cross. Dan joined AVS UG in 2008 is married with a daughter. He likes watching football, and in his spare time raises goats and pigs.


Jennifer – Staff member is responsible for cleaning and helping prepare the staff lunch. Jennifer has worked for AVS for one year, she is married with one child and in her spare time she is involved with one of the women’s groups choirs and loves netball and volleyball.


Timothy  - Volunteer / reception and general admin support. Timothy has been a volunteer for three months and has just completed his studies in Industrial Design with a desire to go on and teach others. He enjoys enjoys playing the piano in church and doing fine art.


Paul  - Library volunteer. Paul has been involved with AVS since 2001 first as a sponsored student, through his BA in Library and Information technology. He is passionate about education and computers.
